Falstaff has ended up in Windsor with no money and is living in a tavern. He hatches a plot to seduce two wealthy women , Mistresses Ford and Page, for their money. He writes them identical letters; they find out and plan revenge. Cue mayhem, farce, many rich characters and sub plots involving Master Ford’s manic jealousy and the pursuit of the Page’s daughter Anne by three very different suitors. The women end up in control. So begins one of Shakespeare’s great comedies as they teach Falstaff a lesson. A truly riotous bawdy romp!
