The Dylan Thomas Theatre is one of the country’s most accessible venues, equipped to deal with the needs of a broad range of theatre and entertainment companies. A grant in 2015 has enabled us to upgrade our lighting and sound facilities and we offer state-of-the-art LED and digital equipment, equal to any theatre in the country. Our last project involved a grant from Cory Environmental for a completely new-sprung stage floor, ideal for dance as well as theatrical performances.
Our central location makes us an ideal venue for meetings and conferences, with parking available nearby. Our foyer/bar area opens directly onto Dylan Thomas Square, and for guests with an interest in the culture and history of the city, an exhibition about Dylan Thomas’ early years as a member is a permanent fixture and we have hosted many private functions. Our Auditorium, which seats over 150 plus dedicated disabled spaces, is also available to let for more formal presentations, such as business meetings, AGMs.
Props Hire
We have a selection of furniture and props that can help with your production. Chinaware, swords, suitcases, lamps, you’d be surprised what’s in our stores. Get in touch and check out what we have.
Costume Hire
We have an extensive theatre wardrobe with 1000’s of items, available to hire at extremely reasonable rates. Historical, Military, Pantomime, Medical, top hats, caps – or just a ball-gown for that special occasion.
