We stage six adult productions a year, from classics to contemporary, farce to the profound and beyond, so keep an eye on audition dates – all are welcome. In addition, we present a major production from our Young Players group (age 8 – 18). The YP group is oopen to new students in this age group, where they work on presentation, diction, characterisation etc. Please contact the theatre for details.
Monthly club nights and social events are also a feature, they allow socialising and experimentation and we pride ourselves on encouraging new actors and directors to use our monthly clubnights to practise new skills and work and rehearse with new people. We are pleased that so many develop and progress to tackling full, large scale productions. Our next evening is MONDAY 29 June at 7.30pm before we have a break for the summer. Free entry and the bar will be open.
Why not join our monthly coffee morning? The last Thursday of every month, with scrumptious cakes, good conversation and a raffle. Theatre Thursdays 10.30am – 12.30pm. Come along.

Want more time to home your craft? Looking to make a start in acting? Or just looking to grow your confidence? Well, Treading the Boards will be just right for you! A relaxed evening for adults to come along to the theatre and perform with fellow actors and have a ball. We will be holding a night full of improvisational games and scenes where actors, established and brand new, can act and play with like-minded people. The aim is to create a fun and safe space for anyone who wishes to ‘tread the boards’ and enjoy being on stage without having to learn lines before hand.
